Upon completing this 2 consecutive day course and passing the exams, candidates can reapply for their SIA Door Supervisor Licence, allowing them to continue working in the security industry legally.

Keep your Door Supervisor licence up to date with the newly enhanced SIA Top-Up Refresher Course. This course replaces previous training by including crucial updates in Terror Threat Awareness, Vulnerability Awareness for issues like spiking, and Advanced Physical Intervention Skills.

These updates align with the latest SIA standards, ensuring you have all the skills needed for modern security challenges and a seamless renewal process.

New Top-Up Refresher vs. Previous Top-Up Training: Key Comparison

The original Top-Up course covered basic Physical Intervention Skills and general security protocols necessary for compliance, giving foundational skills for Door Supervisors.

The updated course adds essential modules to keep up with today’s security needs. You’ll learn Enhanced Physical Intervention Skills for effective conflict management, Terror Threat Awareness to respond to risks, and Vulnerability Awareness to address issues like spiking.

Assessment Methods

  • The course will be assessed with multiple-choice exams and practical assessments.

Certification

Successful learners will receive a personalised Highfiedl Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry. Printed certificates are available at an additional cost.

Requirements

  • To register for the course, all candidates must be aged 18 and over.

  • All candidates will need to show that they hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate and have held a Level 2 Door Supervisor License, that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. First Aid Certificates must be presented to I-On Academy before candidates can begin the training session.

If you fail the examination we offer you to resit the exam free of charge.

Examination Resits

  1. Bookings may be made by e-mail, via I-On Academy website, or by telephone.

  2. Registration for the course is not guaranteed until a completed registration form and payment has been received. Placement in the course will be confirmed via E-mail.

  3. Payments. Our courses are non-refundable 24 hours after booking. You can receive a full refund if you inform us within 24 hours of booking of your intention to cancel, and you will be refunded the amount paid for the course. Courses cancelled after 24 hours of booking will not be eligible for a refund.
